For this shoot, I was lucky enough to have Joe Potts as a subject. Calm, gracious, curious about the camera but not scared of it, Joe lasted about two hours until fatigue overtook him. He moved constantly like a little blob of mercury, so I set the camera in burst mode and grabbed every smile and lively glance that I could. By the end of the afternoon Joe was hungry, and while we ate cheese and drank beer he drifted off. When I got home I saw that I had taken nearly 1,000 images.
